10 Steps for Managing Negative App Reviews

Ashley Sefferman  //  December 6, 2016  //  2 min read

Positive comments tell you what people like about your app and what you are doing right. They
make you feel good about your work and offer encouragement to keep going. At their best, they
are both inspiring and validating, giving other potential customers in the app store a reason to buy or download your app.

Negative comments, however, are a different story. They make you second-guess yourself, and your app, and can give you a biased representation of quality.

The reality is this: You will get both positive and negative app reviews, and they’re equally important to the process of understanding customer sentiment and building a better mobile experience.

To help you manage the inevitable negative reviews and boost five-star ratings by giving your customers a voice, we created a brand new checklist, The 10 Step Checklist for Managing Negative App Reviews.

Checklist cover

Fearing negative reviews no longer needs to be top-of-mind for your mobile marketing and product teams. With our checklist, you’ll have a play-by-play strategy for turning negative reviews into constructive, positive learning points. The tools and techniques covered in the checklist are a surefire way to decrease the complaints that make it to the public app store, and open communication with the silent majority of your app customers.
