The Two-minute Quiz That’ll Help You Prioritize Product Management Tasks

Ashley Sefferman  //  June 8, 2021  //  2 min read

We all want to be as efficient as possible, but it’s not easy—especially as your list of product management tasks grows.

Are you stuck on your list of product management tasks? Unsure how to tackle a new request or bug? If you have two minutes to spare, we can help!

Run your task through our two-minute quiz and we’ll help you prioritize it.

The Two-minute Quiz That’ll Help You Prioritize Product Management Tasks

How the quiz works

Ultimately, two factors play the biggest role in determining task priority: importance and urgency. But these elements can be difficult to define on your own. Enter the quiz to do the heavy lifting for you!

The quiz logic is based off of our Mobile Product Manager’s Productivity Quadrant. The base of the Productivity Quadrant is similar to the “Eisenhower Method,” which stems from a quote attributed to Dwight D. Eisenhower:

“I have two kinds of problems, the urgent and the important. The urgent are not important, and the important are never urgent.”

Our quiz asks a short series of questions to determine whether you should:

  1. Do the task now
  2. Debate the task and assign a delivery date
  3. Debate the task and delegate it to someone else
  4. Delete the task from your to-do list

Prioritizing features and product ideas can be a challenge, but it can be made easier by implementing the right strategy. When you get clear about how to tackle your long list of to-dos, the result is more efficiency, more effectiveness, and ultimately, a more productive product planning process.

We hope our two-minute quiz gives you the shortcut you need to better prioritize your queue of product management activities!
