The 7-Step Checklist to Creating Mobile Surveys

Ashley Sefferman  //  May 18, 2016  //  2 min read

Recently, we’ve talked a lot about listening to your mobile customers in order to get a true sense of customer sentiment. A recent consumer report we published found 98% of mobile customers say they’re likely to leave feedback when asked for it, yet 1 in 3 businesses have never asked their customers for feedback.

Enter mobile surveys, one of the best ways to ask your mobile customers for feedback. We recently released a guide highlighting the seven steps for mobile survey success, along with tips for putting the right tools in place to actively listen to your mobile customers. And wow, did you all love it!

Based on feedback from you, our community, and many requests for more mobile survey-focused content, we’ve put together another asset to help you reach your mobile audience: The 7 Step Checklist to Creating Mobile Surveys.

We often hear of the need to ‘give customers a voice,’ but in reality, your customers already have a voice. You just have to have the tools in place to actively listen for it! If a significant percentage of your customers are active within your mobile app, asking for feedback through mobile is imperative to improving their overall experience.

Our mobile surveys checklist covers tips and pointers around the following seven areas:

  1. Picking your survey tool
  2. Determining your research question
  3. Identifying your survey audience
  4. Designing around the research question
  5. Integrating into your mobile experience
  6. Pre-testing for experience and functionality
  7. Collecting and analyzing your results
