Announcing Apptentive SDK 3.0, with Survey Redesign
You know that feeling when you pull your favorite sweater out of the closet after a long winter and you finally see all the pilting and tired threads? You love that sweater, but it may be time for a replacement. That’s how we felt about our surveys. We love them, but they’re a little…shall we say, old looking? Thus, we’ve replaced them!
Our previous surveys were so 2014, so we completely redesigned them with a modern UI so they will fit with any modern application. Gone are the old light blues and overly rounded corners. They’ve been replaced with Material Design and iOS 9 inspired styles, so they’ll easily match your app with very little work for your dev team.
Below, you’ll see a comparison of what the old surveys (on the left) looked like vs. what the new surveys look like (on the right). Check out the redesign on iOS:
And on Android:
Taking it one step further, we continued our transformation by making it easy for surveys to inherit your app’s defined colors and fonts. That means if your navigation and title bars are set up to be a certain color of green, your surveys’ navigation bar can be that same shade of green. Using fancy fonts? Those are also now able to make their way into your surveys.
With this release, we’re also dropping support for Android OS v3.0 to take advantage of newer methods in detecting app state. Thus, our new minimum requirements are iOS 7 and Android OS v4.0 (API Level 14).
Integrate Apptentive SDK 3.0 into your application today to take advantage of this new flexibility. If you have any questions or feedback around the updates, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
