Growing Out Our Engineering Team – Wanna Join?
Team Apptentive is growing fast – so fast that we’ve doubled in the last six months… and growing exponentially!
After our latest hiring spree, we’re proud to introduce our newest developers: Drew, Frank, and John. Together, they will help Apptentive build a suite of products catered to our customers’ needs and take our company to the next level.
Meet our newest developer talent:
Drew Cooper, Test Engineering
Drew joined Team Apptentive when he realized his mission to “test all of the world’s software” was beyond even his superhuman capabilities. Instead, he settled for the next best thing – to make software better for the millions of people who use our customers’ apps. His chief concern as a test engineer is to improve the experience humans have with software, and he firmly believes that mobile is where more and more of these experiences will happen.
Frank Schmitt, Client Side
Frank joins Apptentive as a developer on our mobile client SDKs. He published his first iPhone app a couple of weeks after the App Store went live, and has been developing on iOS full-time since 2010. Prior to joining Apptentive, Frank was the lead iOS developer at MacroView Labs (later acquired by Bally Technologies), followed by a stint at Moz where he helped launch the Moz Local product and built the MozCon 2014 mobile app. When not in front of a computer he can be found building electric skateboards and vacuuming up billowing drifts of Samoyed fur. His claim to fame is taking first place in George Takei’s 2012 Halloween costume contest.
John Fearnside, Platform Side
Growing up in a house once known as Cabbage Hall amid the tiny hamlet of Fishers, NY, John was enticed to come to Seattle for an interview at the behest of a friend. One look at Mt. Rainier convinced him to abandon the so-called “mountains” of the East and relocate to the Pacific Northwest. John has a degree in computer science and engineering from the “Diploma Mill on the Charles” and joined Apptentive’s platform team to grow out our API backend. He can frequently be found skiing and watching television in his free time.
(Want to join these three, and the rest of our incredible engineers? We’re hiring!)
