Apptentive Recruits Top Talent to Support Growing Customer Base

Alex Walz  //  January 29, 2015  //  3 min read

Apptentive is continuing to grow, and we’re actively recruiting top talent from all over the world. Since our last update, we’re excited to welcome two industry veterans to our commercial team and one to our product team to help take Apptentive to the next level and support our ever growing customer base.

We talk a lot about how business really comes down to people. Whether it’s customers or teammates, we are constantly looking for great people who can help us set a new standard for mobile customer communication,” said Robi Ganguly, co-founder and CEO of Apptentive. “These are exciting times at Apptentive and our newest leads – Emily, Nick, and Tricia – are going to help us bring Customer Love to the leaders of the business world.

We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce Emily, Nick, and Tricia – the three newest additions to the Apptentive family:

Emily Carrion, Apptentive Marketing DirectorEmily Carrion joined to lead our marketing and lead generation strategy. Emily, an eight year startup veteran and digital marketing leader, led marketing communications at ad-tech company Mixpo and managed marketing and mobile app releases for mobile tech startup Point Inside. An active contributor to the Seattle startup community, she serves on the Board of Directors of Seattle University’s Entrepreneurship Center and has pitched new ventures across the state as a Startup Weekend winner and graduate of Founder Institute.

When asked why she joined Apptentive, Emily replied: “Apptentive was founded on the principle of ‘Customer Love.’ How cool is that? We have an incredibly passionate team, financial backing by SurveyMonkey and Google Ventures, and a product used by hundreds of loyal and happy customers. There is so much growth potential, and I’m excited to join this customer obsessed team.”

Nick Ris, Apptentive Business DevelopmentNick Ris came on board to spearhead business development and strategic partnerships. Nick brings 14 years of mobile industry experience, the majority of which were spent providing mobile engagement and SaaS solutions to the likes of Accenture, Amazon, Disney, and the BBC. He was on the management team at MX Telecom, a bootstrapped UK startup which sold to Amdocs/OpenMarket in 2010 for over $100m. Most recently he was Interim GM at Catchy Agency Inc, advising companies like Qualcomm and Microsoft on their marketing strategies.

Nick commented: “Apptentive ticked five very important boxes for me: Passionate and driven founders, a collaborative team, smart investors, an excellent product, and a huge market opportunity. With these elements in place, Apptentive’s potential is unbounded, and I’m honored to be a part of shaping this great company.”

Tricia Cervenan, Apptentive Product ManagerTricia Cervenan was specifically looking for opportunities in Seattle when she found Apptentive. Tricia brings six years of mobile product management experience at ESPN and Quicken Loans that make her a natural fit to lead product management for the company. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded fifteen product launches and picked up an affinity for Lean and agile coaching. Tricia was named one of Mobile Marketer’s Women to Watch in 2012.

“What drew me to Apptentive,” Tricia responded, “was the team’s genuine care for the customer – not just their own customers, but their role in creating a new standard for customer care. I’m excited to work in a startup environment and help take Apptentive to its next level in terms of both product and process.”
