Danny at LavaLinkMobile shared a video on YouTube recently that really struck as as hitting on several key points. In particular, he hits on the fact that the average consumer spends very little time making the decision to download an app. He pegs the time at 10 seconds; our research indicates it’s a bit longer than this but the point is the same:
You have a very small amount of time to convince a consumer that your app is worth downloading
As Danny lays it out, the average consumer goes through 5 to 6 steps on the path to downloading an app: have you optimized your app for every step? Your ratings and reviews are a huge piece of the early process, make sure you’re putting your best foot forward and have your advocates talking about you in the app store.
